Italian sound artist Dino Sabatini is back on his own Outis Music. The label, inaugurated in 2011 by Sabatini himself, is known for the spiritual deeper side of techno and hosted many artists like Claudio PRC, Ness, Edit Select and most recently Italian duo Crossing Avenue. Dino himself appeared for the last time on his own label back in 2017 in collaboration with fellow Luigi Tozzi.
Flash forward to 2023, Sabatini here releases his Opera Quattro EP on the Outis Opera series. A series focussing more on the slowed down, ritualistic side of ambient and deep techno, with his own long players ‘Omonimo’ and ‘Shaman’s Paths’ as milestone albums. ‘Opera Quattro’ continues on this path, it’s a mesmerizing collection of playful electronica, heavily influenced by trip-hop and dub music, perfectly capturing Sabatini’s current state of mind. Balancing in between half-tempo drum and bass and organic techno grooves, it’s an essential pack of Italian deep techno trips.
