outis music official autumn 2011 newsletter
“…The favorable wind drove the ship, and soon sighted
the beautiful island Anthemus where mermaids singing, annihilated anyone
landing, fascinating with their sweet songs.”
Outis News Autumn 2011
Second chapter of this musical path.
First of all I would like to thank everybody for the unexpected success of “Modulated Waves“; truly, I was amazed by your approval;
I wanted to start this presentation with a Argonautica‘s chant, that synthesize the spirit of the second release “Anthemusa EP“, made in collaboration with another “nobody” who has been enchanting me with his extraordinary music since many years; with him I shared technical and musical growth .
Gianluca Meloni was born and is actually living in Rome; with him I was forming the duo Modern Heads and considering it’s 15 years we are working together I can with no doubt assert that together we have been creating the style that today is what I call mine, what I call the “Outis” style.
4 years ago I have been moving to Berlin and the thing I miss the most is playing music with him.
Into “Anthemusa ep” we merged once again our musical ideas, but this time with two soloist proposal, leaving space to our emotions and our own way to make Techno.
I hope you’ll enjoy.
Dino Sabatini – Autumn 2011
| 12″ Anthemusa ep | Out Soon |
| Tracklist | |
|
Gianluca Meloni – Ostinate sin (original) Solid track, no mercy, obsessively sinusoidal but with intense harmonic colors growing through infinite, showing Gianluca‘s long experience as musician and producer. |
|
|
Dino Sabatini – Ostinate sin (rmx) A erupting volcano maybe is the best way to define the crazy rhythmic of this remix; killer dynamics bass frequencies and psicoharmonic filter treatment over noise generated percussions shifting sound perception; to be used with care, to avoid dancefloor explosion!

Here is a quite long interview (around 20 minutes…) made in Rome for K1971 during June 2011;
I have been talking about my story and the italian underground musical scene;
I was talking in Italian, but its subtitled in English
I would like to use this newsletter also
for sharing with you some of my experiences of gigs around the planet
since last summer until today;
Tour in Japan – July 2011
Dommune – Tokio – Japan
Dino Sabatini Dj set
Dommune is one of the coolest and funnier places where I came across playing, too if I do think to have lost some kilos sweating due to July and around 35° outside; who saw the streaming have had to notice for shure! Dommune is a very small basement room with a Funktion-One R2 sound system sounding like a bomb and a very organized blog to promote music with a a&v streaming of live performances across the web; those guys have been really genial and they deserve much respect for what they do to spread our musical ideas. Thx.

Dino Sabatini Live set
I would like to say thanks to Prologue friends fo their engagement, because they brought me for the second time on the Berghain club console, and to all of its staff for their professionalism. That was a very special day for me; that day I have had this big chance to share with the people all a of my emotions translated into music.
“Well I could call out when the going gets tough.
The things that we’ve learnt are no longer enough.
No language, just sound, that’s all we need know
to synchronise
love to the beat of the show.
And we could dance.”

Ian Curtis – 1956-1980
